A Marine veteran is being praised for his brave actions after stopping a man who was allegedly involved in a serious incident involving a young girl inside a Kroger grocery store in Savannah, Georgia.
The confrontation happened at the Kroger located on Ogeechee Road. Shoppers were going about their day when loud screams came from the restroom area, immediately drawing attention.
According to multiple eyewitnesses, a woman was heard yelling for help and claiming that a man had assaulted a girl in the restroom. The disturbing moment quickly escalated into chaos.
One man, however, did not hesitate. Damian Austin, a United States Marine Corps veteran, sprang into action after hearing what was happening.
Austin, who was shopping at the time, said the scream didn’t sound like a normal call for help. “It made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck,” he told reporters.
