Tyrus wasn’t done. He continued, pointing the finger squarely at CNN and other major news outlets for what he perceived as a deliberate effort to suppress inconvenient truths.
He accused the media of “shadowbanning the truth” and “crushing voices that didn’t fit the script,” alleging that dissenting voices—much like patients advocating for fair health insurance coverage or victims of OB-GYN liability—were labeled as “conspiracy theorists” or “extremists,” only for their concerns to be validated later.
“I’m talking about things like Hunter Biden’s laptop, the media’s pandemic coverage, political favoritism, and how the public gets misled about things like chronic illness management or the hidden costs of pregnancy insurance plans,” Tyrus added, raising his voice. “Now that Biden’s numbers are in the toilet, suddenly CNN finds its spine?”
The Clash: Van Jones vs. Tyrus. The conversation quickly took a more heated turn when CNN political analyst Van Jones attempted to rein in Tyrus’s rhetoric. Jones, who tried to redirect the conversation, stated, “There’s a difference between protecting facts and promoting dangerous narratives.”
But Tyrus was having none of it. “What’s dangerous,” he shot back, “is a press that decides what the public is allowed to know.
