Despite the emotional toll, she insists Alzheimer’s hasn’t stolen her joy—it’s simply reshaped it. “If you or someone you love is at the start of this,” she says, “you are not alone—we’re in this together.”

Martin also shares his voice in the book, opening up about life as both partner and caregiver. In 2024, he left his role as This Morning’s editor to fully focus on caring for Fiona at home.

“Next year, my family will need me more than ever,” he explained, stepping away from the spotlight.

“I can’t split myself between live TV and Fiona—it’s one or the other, and I choose her every time.”

Married since 1997, they raised sons Nat and Mackenzie while juggling high-profile careers. Fiona was beloved for her long run on GMTV Today and later joined Loose Women as a panellist.

Following her parents’ deaths, she worked closely with Age UK to push dementia awareness forward. Her upcoming memoir, Remember When, is due July 2025 through Pan Macmillan, already highly anticipated.
