Selfie taken before three friends died showed they missed heartbreaking detail

Savannah was rushed to a local hospital for emergency surgery. However, after doctors informed her parents that her injuries were too severe to recover from, life support was eventually withdrawn.

Jayna Webster, mother of Savannah and Kelsea, shared a heartfelt message on her blog at the time:

“We spoke to the doctors today and they informed us that Savvy’s injuries were too great. Even though they’ve done everything possible, Savannah will not be able to recover any further.”

Moments before the accident, Savannah had posted on Facebook, “Standing right by a train ahaha this is awesome!!!!”

The teens, who were known to be train enthusiasts, had taken a photo just seconds before the incident, unaware of the fast-approaching train in the other direction.

The image, taken moments before the collision, shows the headlights of the approaching train shining brightly in the background.
