SAD NEWS: ‘It’s Heartbreaking – my Daughter had to endure terrible things’

“I feel a responsibility to everyone,” Faulkner replied, prompting applause from the audience. “Because my daughters are biracial.”

When Faulkner mentioned her daughters, the show projected a picture of her family on the screen. The moment, while powerful, reopened conversations about racial identity, early childhood mental health, and even emotional wellness in multiracial families—topics now frequently addressed in private family therapy coverage and pediatric health insurance plans.

She then spoke about her experience as one of the only Black women who anchors on the network. “On The View, there is this sort of, shout it, cuss it, do whatever you gotta do to get a little more attention around the hot topics,” Faulkner said again, emphasizing the contrast in her approach, which she believes promotes mental clarity and emotional stability—two critical components often associated with wellness coaching services.

Faulkner joined Fox News in 2005. On top of anchoring The Faulkner Focus, she also recently celebrated 10 years of hosting the Fox News afternoon program Outnumbered.

The Faulkner Focus ended last month with an average total of 2,552,000 viewers, beating out The View’s 2,508,000 in a shocking upset.

While the TV battle rages on, Faulkner’s story hits home for many dealing with family tension, public pressure, and the emotional toll of controversy—often made more complex by high medical costs for therapy, private insurance reimbursement challenges, and the increasing relevance of mental health legal protections in broadcasting.
