Faulkner, 59, blasted the hosts of The View in a triumphant slam dunk after her Fox News show, The Faulkner Focus, beat out its competitor for the first time in January ratings by over 40,000 viewers.
“On The View, there is this sort of, shout it, cuss it, do whatever you gotta do to get a little more attention around the hot topics,” Faulkner told the Daily Mail.
She said the show has gone downhill since it had “powerhouse journalists” like Barbara Walters. “But now I don’t really know what the show is, apart from talk, talk, talk – a lot of combativeness,” she said, adding the hosts have “vitriol.”
Faulkner also called out Hostin for her fiery remarks on the show. “I’ve seen Sunny Hostin read so many apologies on the air recently for the legal exposure of some of the things that she and others have said on the show,” Faulkner said.
“That’s dicey.” Faulkner’s mention of “legal exposure” highlights the increasing risk of defamation suits and potential OB-GYN liability comments often seen in heated public debates—topics that also come with serious implications, both reputational and financial.
