Not long after learning of the crash, her fiancé John Collins reportedly jumped into his 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and sped toward the scene.
Tragically, around 3:45 a.m., Collins lost control of his vehicle in East Feliciana Parish—just across the parish line. His car left the road at a curve near Idlewild Road and crashed into a tree.
Police confirmed Collins was also unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene. Like Lee, a toxicology sample was taken, and the incident remains under investigation.
The couple leaves behind a 4-year-old son, Gabriel, who is now in the care of family.
In an emotional interview with WAFB, Collins’ father Arthur said, “I love them and I’m gonna miss both of them, and I’m gonna find the strength to go ahead.”
