During the U.S. Masters Swimming National Championship, a man named Ana participated in five different events. Gaines was upset with X because “he won them all.”
Gaines recently criticized the NCAA for failing to comply with an executive order issued by Donald Trump that prohibited transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports.
After permitting transgender Ithaca rower Juniper Gattone to compete, she accused the top tier of intercollegiate athletics of ‘purposefully fooling the public and Donald Trump’.
“Hold on a second…I believed that the NCAA had a new rule that fully complied with Trump’s executive order. On X, Gaines wrote.

Nonetheless, an Ithaca representative stated: “Ithaca College aims to adhere to all NCAA regulations.”
