The teenager, whose name Gifford has kept secret, has cognitive issues. Incest-affected children are more likely to have genetic illnesses and impairments.
Gifford informed the source that a therapist had suggested to him that he might be his brother’s father.
“I was 17 at the time,” he continued. That caught me off guard. After receiving a disability check, his younger brother moved in with Gifford, who is currently under temporary guardianship.
The current court case will turn into a custody dispute if it is determined that Gifford is the father. It will still be a guardianship issue if he is not the father.
“As a male survivor, it is extremely distressing to consider that my brother might be the result of my sexual assault,” Gifford stated.
