In a robbery attempt, the homeowner fatally shoots three teenagers who fired at him.

one of the teenagers was lying in a pool of blood on top of a black Glock handgun. Since this seems to be a “stand your ground” case of self-defense, no charges were brought and it seems unlikely that any will be.

One thing the relative was correct about was that “that’s not how it’s supposed to go.” Adolescents shouldn’t be trying to shoot innocent people and conduct armed robbery.

No one should have to live with the fact that this homeowner was “crushed” by the lives he took outside his home. But if one of the suspects opened fire, he had no choice but to risk death. He protected his house, his loved ones, and himself by doing what most people would do.

He is now the one who must live with the guilt of someone else’s crime for the rest of his life.
