After the dog attacked, one of the parents quickly rushed the injured baby to a nearby fire station for help.
Emergency responders provided care at the station before transporting the child to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Despite efforts by the medical team, Elizah was pronounced dead at 11:43 a.m., just minutes after the attack.
The Franklin County Coroner’s Office confirmed the baby’s death and said an autopsy would be performed.
