Leo Terrell, a former civil rights attorney and current Fox News commentator, has sparked intense debate after making public comments about First Lady Jill Biden’s involvement in President Joe Biden’s health disclosures.
Terrell, who was appointed to a senior role at the Department of Justice under the Trump administration, questioned whether Jill Biden bore responsibility for encouraging her husband to seek re-election despite his recent prostate cancer diagnosis.
His comments come amid a wider discussion about transparency surrounding the President’s health, with critics and supporters clashing over who should be held accountable for decisions made in recent months.
Terrell, who now serves as a senior counselor to the assistant attorney general for civil rights, made the controversial remarks in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
He responded to another user’s claim that the First Lady “knew about President Biden’s health problems” but still supported his campaign, writing, “Elder abuse! Criminal charges??”
