Authorities said they had identified at least 198 children who were allegedly abused by the suspect, though the number could rise as the investigation continues.
Prosecutors had prepared an extensive case against the man, compiling evidence from victim testimonies, digital communications, and physical evidence recovered from his home.
However, before the trial could commence, the suspect was found dead in his prison cell under what authorities described as “suspicious circumstances.”
According to the prison warden, the man was found unresponsive during routine checks and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial reports suggest that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, but authorities have yet to confirm whether it was self-inflicted or the result of an attack. The news of his death has drawn mixed reactions, with some expressing relief that he can no longer harm any more children,
