“Woman Facing Terminal Diagnosis from ‘Preventable Cancer’ Urges Everyone to Take One Life-Saving Step”

A woman facing a terminal diagnosis of just a few months due to a condition described as a ‘preventable’ cancer is urging others to take a critical health step that could potentially save their lives.

Jamie Comer, from San Francisco, was 47 when a routine blood test revealed concerning abnormalities. Doctors then delivered the life-changing news that she had advanced colon cancer, which had spread to her liver.

Speaking to ABC 7News in 2023, Comer said: “I had 45 tumors on my left side and 12 tumors on my right side and was told I had approximately three to six months to live.”

Comer underwent intensive chemotherapy, enduring sessions lasting eight to 11 hours for three days every other week in an effort to combat the aggressive disease.

An infusion pump was also implanted in her abdomen to deliver the treatment directly to her liver, resulting in significant fatigue and ongoing nausea.

“I feel like my insides are burning up. I feel hot,” she said at the time.
