Haidyn has the mentality of an 18-month-old and is no longer able to communicate. Due to the degenerative nature of her condition,
Haidyn can no longer speak or perform many of the activities that other kids her age can. She will eventually lose every talent she has acquired in her brief life. She is also likely to experience movement abnormalities and seizures.
According to the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation, her family clarified that she is not anticipated to survive past her adolescent years.
There is presently no FDA-approved therapy for the condition.
